OMC 8000

A modular architecture was chosen for the OMC 8000 PLC series. The core of the PLC is the main module, to which expansion modules up to 31 can be connected. These can be located in close proximity or remotely. The distance between the farthest modules can be up to 40 m. Communication between the modules is ensured by the CAN line. However, with the growing number of modules, it is necessary to take into account the growing demands on communication between them.

The main module can be powered by 230 V or 24 V. It contains three digital inputs that respond to the supply voltage level. It also contains six universal inputs, which are isolated from the power supply and outputs with a common ground terminal.

These inputs allow the connection of the following signals:
• pulse up to 30 V
• impulse - contact, NPN open collector
• analog, voltage up to 30 V
• analog, current up to 20 mA
• analog, resistance up to 3900 Ω
• analog, Pt 100, Pt 1000, Ni 1000
• analog, T / C - B, E, J, K, L, N, R, S, T, XK
• analog, KTY81-2xx
